Editor's Note: Pharmacological Reviews to Publish
Online before Print

As the pace of scientific discovery continues to increase, the
need for timely review articles becomes even more pressing. Because
Pharmacological Reviews is a quarterly journal, accepted articles may need to "wait" for several months before they can be
included in the next issue of the journal. Starting in January of 2001, Pharmacological Reviews articles will be published
electronically at http://pharmrev.aspetjournals.org as soon as they are
in final form, rather than waiting for the release of the print
edition. The article will be in a format identical to the current
online articles, and the pdf version of the article will be identical to that which will appear in the print edition. The date of online release will be posted on the web site and will be the official date of
publication. Papers may be published online several months before they
appear in the quarterly printed issue. We hope that this innovation
will be of significant benefit to our authors and readers.
