It is well known that acetylcholine-induced relaxation of erectile tissue has been shown to involve the release of NO from endothelial cells following M1 and M3 mAChRs activation [5,26,27]. Previously, we also reported that NO released from the endothelium via activation of eNOS is involved in acetylcholine-induced relaxation in mouse corpus cavernosum [28].
