In this study histamine H4 receptor mRNA was first time shown in the brain in substantia nigra, caudate nucleus and in putamen areas in the brain (Anichtchik et al., 2000a,b). The expression of histamine H4 receptor mRNA was also seen significantly higher in putamen and in caudate nucleus in PD brain (Corrêa et al., 2021).
