Hepatoprotective mechanisms of Yan-gan-wan
2005, Hepatology ResearchSelective fatty acid release from intracellular phospholipids caused by PCBs in rat renal tubular cell cultures
2000, Chemico-Biological InteractionsCitation Excerpt :Furthermore, previous studies in our laboratory indicated that the changes in both membrane fluidity and arachidonic acid release in renal tubular cell cultures are related to the coplanarity or lack of the PCB congeners coplanarity [19,20]. In addition, the kidney responds to chronic PCB exposure with dose-dependent P4501A enzyme induction [21]. Fatty acids released from membrane phospholipids (PL) by cellular phospholipases modify the activities of protein kinases, G proteins, phospholipases, adenylate and guanylate cyclases, as well as ion channels and other biochemical events involved in stimulus-response coupling mechanisms.
