I believe, the data justify the cautious application of such an animal model for predicting the abuse potential of a new drug, for evaluating new forms of treatment, and finally, for investigating biological and environmental variables controlling drug taking behavior. However, there are a variety of assumptions whenever we extrapolate conclusions from laboratory studies to man in his natural environment. 1971, by The Williams \& Wilkins Co.}, issn = {0031-6997}, URL = {https://pharmrev.aspetjournals.org/content/27/4/511}, eprint = {https://pharmrev.aspetjournals.org/content/27/4/511.full.pdf}, journal = {Pharmacological Reviews} }
