RGS8 expression in developing cerebellar Purkinje cells
2003, Biochemical and Biophysical Research CommunicationsCitation Excerpt :We further observed that co-expression of active Gαo resulted in the translocation of RGS8 to the plasma membrane [11]. On the other hand, when tissue sections of the cerebellum were stained with RGS8 antibody, we found that the RGS8 protein was excluded from nucleus and distributed in the cell body and dendrites [12]. Since Gα may not be constitutively activated in normal unstimulated cells, it was considered that neural cells may express certain protein factors to induce the translocation of RGS8.
