RETRACTED: MDMA- and p-chlorophenylalanine-induced reduction in 5-HT concentrations: effects on serotonin transporter densities

Reason: The EJP Editorial office received the following letter from the authors of the above-mentioned article :

“We write to retract our paper published in the European Journal of Pharmacology in October 2002 (Volume 453, pp. 239–244) following the recent discovery that one of the drugs used in our study was in fact (±)-methamphetamine instead of the intended drug (±)-3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA). Details of the sequence of events which led to the discovery of this error have been published in Science (volume 301, page 1479, 2003).
