    Then, the rRNA was removed, a library was built and sequenced, and the transcriptional abundance and expression levels were calculated according to our previous study (Hu et al., 2021). GO (Mi et al., 2019; Ashburner, et al., 2000; Gene Ontology Consortium, 2021), KEGG (Kanehisa, 1997; Kanehisa et al., 2021), and GSEA (Mootha et al., 2003; Subramanian et al., 2005) were selected to find the potential downstream molecular pathway of lncRNA-Gm2044 in male germ cells. To determine whether lncRNA-Gm2044 has the ability to be translated into protein peptides, the potential open reading frame (ORF) of lncRNA-Gm2044 was predicted by the ORF Finder (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/orffinder/; Figure S1).
